Step 1
Approach the boxrail at a moderate speed. Don’t worry if you go to slow, you can always build up your speed. Keep the board flat with no edge. You should be facing head on towards the box. Keep your board facing forward throughout the trick.
Step 2
Ride up and onto the boxrail keeping your weight over the board. You may feel the natural instinct to lean back, so try to visualise the movement expecting the board to slide and go with it. Do not look at your feet, instead focus on the end of the boxrail.
Step 3
To keep your balance and stop lateral movement, bend your knees to lower your centre of gravity as you slide across the box rail. Sink into your boots and keep your shoulders directly above the board
Keep the snowboard as close to centre of the box and most importantly keep it flat. You cannot use an edge on a rail.
Step 4
To exit the end of the boxrail, extend your already bent knees to produce a small forward facing hop and land flat. Bend your knees to absorb the impact before returning to either edge. On some box rails you can just ride off.
